Your livestream keeps running – even if the internet drops

Every broadcaster’s nightmare: mid-show the connection drops – and on YouTube the stream is gone, the viewers leave. With uninterrupted streaming, exactly that no longer happens.

Buffer 30 s – 5 minDropouts invisibleWaiting slate + countdownIdeal for cellular

The principle: your show runs through the LiveShow server with a delay you choose, buffered continuously. If your Wi-Fi or cellular drops for a moment, the buffer bridges the gap – and the app automatically re-delivers the missing seconds once the connection returns. On YouTube & co. the stream continues without a gap.

It’s especially valuable on the go: cellular networks fluctuate constantly – full bandwidth one moment, dead zone the next. The system smooths these fluctuations out continuously. And before the show your viewers see a waiting slate with a countdown, with your own artwork if you like.

How it works

  1. 01

    Choose your buffer

You decide how much delay your show is broadcast with – from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. The longer the buffer, the longer the outages your stream survives invisibly.

  2. 02

The show runs through the server

Your iPhone sends to the LiveShow server, which buffers the entire show and distributes it from there to YouTube, Twitch & co. – to all platforms at once.

  3. 03

    Dropout? The buffer takes over

If your connection drops, the server simply keeps broadcasting from the buffer. What your viewers see of it: nothing.

  4. 04

    Automatic re-delivery

As soon as your connection returns, the app automatically re-uploads the missing seconds and refills the buffer – without you doing anything.

  5. 05

A clean ending instead of a crash

Only if an outage lasts longer than your buffer does the stream end in a controlled way with a notice slate – instead of freezing mid-sentence.

Good to know

  • Part of STUDIO mode – no extra cost, no separate service
  • Buffer freely adjustable: 30 seconds to 5 minutes
  • Waiting slate before the show: your own photo or PDF plus countdown
  • Works over Wi-Fi and cellular – ideal for streaming on the go
  • Distributes to all platforms at once (YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, custom RTMP …)

FAQ

How long can the internet be down?
As long as your buffer lasts – up to 5 minutes. Shorter dropouts (the most common: seconds to half a minute) are bridged completely invisibly even by a small buffer.
Do viewers notice the outage?
No. During the outage the server simply keeps broadcasting from the buffer – video and audio run without a gap. Viewers only experience the delay you chose, just like any TV “live” broadcast.
Is the delay a problem?
Not for most formats: for concerts, church services, sports and shows a minute of offset doesn’t matter. Only if you want to interact with the chat live do you pick a short buffer – 30 seconds already protects against the typical dropouts.
Does it work over cellular on the go?
That’s where it shines: cellular networks fluctuate constantly, and the buffer smooths those fluctuations out continuously. Even switching between cell towers while driving stays invisible.
What does it cost?
Uninterrupted streaming is included in STUDIO mode (€49.99/month, cancel anytime, 3-day free trial) – together with up to 9 cameras, the AI director and the Director app.
