Livestream your service – with iPhones you already own

Sick and elderly members join from home, families on vacation stay connected. You don’t need a camera crew or a video tech team – two iPhones on tripods and one app are enough.

The biggest hurdle for a church livestream is rarely money – it’s the technology: who sets it up, who runs it every single Sunday? LiveShow Creator is built so volunteers learn the entire broadcast in minutes: plan, start, tap through.

The order of service becomes a show rundown, prepared in advance: welcome, hymns with lyrics overlays, sermon, blessing. During the broadcast one person taps through that rundown – or AutoCut switches cameras automatically to whoever is speaking.

How to do it

  1. 01

    Position the cameras

Point one iPhone running the Creator app at the pulpit or altar as the main camera. A second iPhone with the free Camera app covers the choir, band or congregation. Both on tripods – that’s your two-camera studio.

  2. 02

    Connect wirelessly

In PRO mode the additional cameras connect directly over the Creator app’s hotspot – no church Wi-Fi, no router needed. Cameras appear automatically: tap, connected.

  3. 03

    Prepare rundown and lyrics

Add lyrics, scripture references and names as overlays (lower thirds and graphics) to the rundown. Before the service starts, a countdown tells viewers when it begins.

  4. 04

    Stream to YouTube

Enter the stream key once and start broadcasting. Optionally stream to Facebook or your parish website (custom RTMP) at the same time – with one tap.

  5. 05

    Go live – relaxed

During the service one person taps through the rundown; the next overlay appears automatically. Or let AutoCut switch to whichever camera someone is speaking on.

What you need

  • 2–3 iPhones: main camera from iPhone 12, additional cameras from iPhone 11 – retired devices from the congregation work fine
  • 2 tripods with smartphone mounts
  • Internet for the stream: church Wi-Fi or the main iPhone’s cellular connection (about 5 Mbit/s upload)
  • Optional: lavalier or USB microphone for the sermon, a power bank for long services
  • LiveShow Creator in PRO mode (up to 3 cameras) – companion apps are free

FAQ

Is our church’s internet good enough?
A stable 1080p stream needs about 5 Mbit/s upload – good cellular reception can handle that. If the connection is shaky, STUDIO mode helps: with uninterrupted streaming the LiveShow server buffers your broadcast and fully bridges short dropouts – viewers never notice.
Can volunteers run the system?
Yes – that’s exactly what the app is built for. The service is planned as a rundown in advance; during the broadcast you tap through it point by point. An info line always shows what comes next. Anyone learns it in minutes.
How do we show lyrics and names?
Lyrics, scripture verses and names are set up as graphic overlays and lower thirds in the rundown (PRO and up). During the service they appear with a single tap – at the prepared moment, no searching.
Which platforms can we stream to?
YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and any custom RTMP target (for example your denomination’s streaming server) – from PRO simultaneously to several at once.
What does it cost our congregation?
PRO mode with up to 3 cameras, lyrics overlays and multistreaming is €29.99 per month, cancel anytime, with a 3-day free trial. All companion apps (like the Camera app for extra cameras) are free.
