Your own news show – produced with iPhones

15 minutes live, every day: anchoring with a teleprompter, lower thirds for guests, live remotes to reporters in the field. A full news production – for local newsrooms, universities, clubs and companies, without a studio.

What makes a news show feel professional are the details: the anchor speaking freely into the camera (while secretly reading), clean name overlays, the switch between anchor, interview and remote. All of that is built into LiveShow Creator – produced with three iPhones in an office corner.

The big advantage of daily formats: you build the rundown once – welcome, topic blocks, remote, sign-off – and it serves as the template for every edition. The team only swaps content: new script into the teleprompter, new names into the lower thirds, new clips into the rundown.

How the show comes together

  1. 01

    The studio corner

Three iPhones: one wide shot, one close-up on the anchor, a third for interview guests. A tidy background or a bookshelf is enough – lighting makes the difference, not the room.

  2. 02

    Set up the teleprompter

The script runs right on the camera iPhone’s display, at adjustable speed – the anchor keeps eye contact while reading.

  3. 03

    Prepare graphics and clips

Lower thirds for anchor and guests, topic overlays, the show logo as a corner bug, videos as pre-produced clips – all prepared as rundown cues, triggered live with a tap.

  4. 04

    Live remote to a reporter

Reporters in the field join the show with the free Reporter app by entering a code – their smartphone feed appears as a full camera, live from anywhere in the world.

  5. 05

    Broadcast and archive

Stream live to YouTube and other platforms while recording locally. After the show, the show summary delivers the broadcast log for your review.

What you need

  • 3 iPhones (main camera from iPhone 12, others from iPhone 11) + tripods
  • Good lighting – an inexpensive LED panel raises quality more than any new camera
  • External microphone (lavalier) for the anchor
  • Wi-Fi or cellular for the stream (about 5 Mbit/s upload)
  • LiveShow Creator in PRO mode (teleprompter, lower thirds, reporter remotes) – STUDIO for the iPad control room and corner logo

FAQ

How does the teleprompter work?
The script scrolls right on the camera iPhone’s display at adjustable speed. The anchor reads while keeping eye contact with the camera – like a TV studio, minus the prompter hardware.
How do we bring reporters in live?
The reporter opens the free Reporter app and enters a code – done. Their feed appears as a camera in the control room and is cut live with a tap, over the internet from anywhere in the world (PRO and up).
Can we show pre-produced clips?
Yes. Videos, photos and photo sequences live as cues in the show rundown and start with a tap – including a clean transition back to the anchor.
Can we reuse the rundown for every edition?
Yes – that’s exactly what the show rundown is for: the structure stays, you only swap script, names and clips. In STUDIO mode you export the rundown as a PDF for the editorial meeting.
What does the production cost?
PRO (3 cameras, teleprompter, lower thirds, reporter remotes, multistreaming) is €29.99/month. STUDIO (iPad control room, corner logo, ProRes, PDF export) is €49.99/month. Both cancel anytime, 3-day free trial.
