Livestream your games – the iPhone camera system for your club
Parents on night shift, fans abroad, members without a ride: with a livestream the whole club is at the game. With multiple angles like on TV – not a single shaky phone video.
A broadcast truck is out of the question for a club, and a fixed streaming camera only shows one static wide shot. The middle ground: the team’s iPhones – as a wireless multi-camera system around the field.
A wide shot at the halfway line, a close-up behind the goal, a third iPhone for sideline interviews. You cut live with a tap – or AutoCut follows the action automatically. Lower thirds show the score, goal scorers and interview guests.
How to set up the broadcast
- 01
Choose camera positions
Elevated wide shot at the halfway line (main iPhone with the Creator app), close-up behind or next to the goal, a third camera roaming for substitutions and interviews. More angles = more TV feeling.
- 02
Connect without any venue network
In PRO mode up to 2 additional cameras connect directly over the Creator app’s hotspot – no Wi-Fi, no power needed at the field. In STUDIO mode up to 9 cameras join over a Wi-Fi router, with tally lights and intercom.
- 03
Prepare the graphics
Club logos, lineups and lower thirds for names go into the rundown. Show the score as a lower third and update it at halftime.
- 04
Stream over cellular
You stream over the main iPhone’s cellular connection – to YouTube and Facebook at the same time (PRO and up). If the network at the field fluctuates, STUDIO mode keeps the stream stable: the LiveShow server buffers the broadcast and bridges dropouts.
- 05
Interviews and away games
With the free Reporter app a second reporter joins live – from the other end of the pitch or from the second team’s away game, over the internet alone.
What you need
- 3–5 iPhones: main camera from iPhone 12, additional cameras from iPhone 11 – the team’s own devices are enough
- Tripods or clamp mounts for fence and boards
- Power banks – a match incl. pre- and post-game runs a good 2 hours
- Cellular reception for the upload (about 5 Mbit/s) or the clubhouse Wi-Fi
- PRO (up to 3 cameras) or STUDIO (up to 9 cameras, iPad control room, buffered server stream)
